Open to all children, Year 11 and under

There were 31 entries in the children's container garden competion this year, which was held for the first time right in the centre of town - in Market Place on Saturday 5 July.

Thanks to those who braved the heavy rain to deliver all the entries, to the girls who made the gardens and to the public who enjoyed the display.

5th Harrogate (Saltergate) Brownies

Make a miniature garden in a recycled container. Let your imagination run wild – the more unusual the better!

- All plants used must have roots and be able to continue growing and other materials can be used to expand your theme

- Judging will take place in the town centre, on a Saturday between 11am and 4pm (date and venue to be advised but likely to be in early July)

- All entries will be awarded a Harrogate in Bloom certificate at the Harrogate in Bloom Awards evening at the Old Swan Hotel in September. Each entrant plus a parent will be invited

- All gardens must be removed by 4.30pm on the day

- Please make sure the child’s name and address is clearly marked on each entry.
