Individual Residential category

There are three categories for individual gardens, so it doesn't matter if you have a balcony, patio, back yard or something much bigger. Contemporary or traditional styles are equally welcome; it could feature containers of bedding plants, or be a wildlife haven, an outdoor room or a tranquil green space.

Gardens are divided into categories by size and you can opt to have just part or the whole garden judged.

Closing date for entries: Sunday 22 June 2008

Judging will take place between 7 – 21 July

 Category 1: Area under 60 sq m/ 70 sq yd: ie. balcony or small garden
The whole garden will be judged unless indicated below:
 front garden only
 back garden only
 balcony, patio or other area only please specify

 Category 2: Area over 60 sq m/ 70 sq yd : larger gardens
The whole garden will be judged unless indicated below:
 front garden only
 back garden only

 Category 3: Senior award: open to entrants aged 75 or over
The whole garden will be judged unless indicated below:
 front garden only
 back garden only
 balcony or patio or other area only please specify
